See exactly how the Intensive Challenge works — before you join
The real curriculum, the real weekly routine, actual workbook pages. Everything you'd want to know to decide if this is right for you.
Built for intermediate–advanced learners
This isn't a beginner course. It's for learners who can already form basic sentences and want to push into real speaking, writing, and discussion — with structure and accountability behind them.
Good fit if you...
- Are roughly TOPIK 5–6 level, or intermediate–advanced
- Want live speaking practice, not just video lessons
- Can join group classes on Korea time (Wed/Fri AM, Sat PM)
- Want a routine with real deadlines and feedback
Not the right fit if you...
- Are just starting out with Korean (try Step by Step instead)
- Can't attend any live sessions on Korea time
- Want a fully self-paced, no-deadline course
What the Intensive Challenge is
A guided, speaking-focused Korean program for intermediate–advanced learners. Instead of just watching lessons, you produce Korean every week — speaking, writing, and getting personal feedback — inside a small, supportive cohort.
What you'll get out of it
🗣️ Real speaking practice
Live group discussion plus 1:1 sessions — you speak and get corrected, not just listen.
✍️ Feedback that sticks
Personal corrections on your writing and speaking, with a summary you can reuse.
🔥 A routine that lasts
A clear weekly structure and an accountability cohort to keep you going.
How a cycle works
Each week combines self-study, live practice, and personal coaching — and each month follows a focused theme so your skills build in a clear arc.
Three things you'll do every week
📚 Workbook + missions
A weekly PDF workbook with vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing missions. Content is always fresh.
👥 Live group classes
Korea time: Wed & Fri mornings + Sat afternoon. Discuss the topic, practice speaking, get pronunciation feedback live.
🎯 1:1 speaking session
Flexible — your teacher sends a booking link and you pick a time. You get a written summary of corrections after.
What each week actually covers
Each of the first two weeks builds your skills step by step, in the same six-part order:
- Vocabulary 단어
- Grammar 문법
- Speaking patterns 말하기 패턴
- Dialogues & fun expressions 대화문 & 재미있는 표현
- Short writing 짧은 글쓰기
- Hanja & longer reading 한자 & 긴 글
The third week changes format — you put everything into use with choose-your-level missions:
- Keep a Korean diary
- Read real news articles & write your own opinions
- Scrap an article you find interesting
- Pick your difficulty: Core · Standard · Challenge
- Wraps with a drama-watching break to absorb natural Korean
Missions come in difficulty levels, so you can choose a pace that challenges you without overwhelming you.

Week 1 & 2 · Workbook pages
Same 6-step flow both weeks: vocabulary → grammar → speaking patterns → dialogue → short writing → hanja & reading. Here's Monday through Friday.
Week 1 & 2 · Live Zoom class materials
Group classes use the same vocabulary and grammar, focused on live discussion, speaking patterns, and pronunciation feedback.
Week 3 · Apply & challenge
Journaling, real news opinion writing, real ads, and a drama-watching break — your choice of difficulty (Core · Standard · Challenge).

A private cohort community
Once you join, you're placed in a private Discord with your cohort — daily check-ins, mission support, and classmates keeping each other accountable. It's part of what makes the routine stick.

Tips from students who finished a cycle
Show up live
Group classes are where speaking clicks. Join as many as you can, even if you feel shy at first.
Prep before your 1:1
Do the week's missions first so your 1:1 time goes to real conversation and correction.
Stay in touch with your cohort
Ask questions, share your missions, cheer each other on. Accountability keeps you going.
Questions before you join
Is this the right level for me?
It's built for intermediate to advanced learners — you should already be able to form basic sentences. Classes run largely in Korean. If you're just starting out, Step by Step is a better first step.
What if I can't attend a live group class?
Do your best to join live — that's where the speaking practice is. If you miss one, you can still keep up with your workbook and missions, and bring your questions to your 1:1 session.
How does the 1:1 speaking session work?
Once you join, your teacher shares a booking link. Pick a time that fits you — it's flexible, so it works across time zones.
I'm not in Korea — will the schedule work?
Learners join from Korea, the US, Europe and Singapore. Group classes run on Korea time; your 1:1 is flexible so you can find a slot that fits.
