Meet Your Teacher

The class focuses on helping learners use Korean more actively through structured weekly learning, missions, and feedback.

Chris:
Chris has spent over four years teaching in Korea, specializing in TOPIK preparation, business Korean, and intermediate–advanced speaking. He’s also the head coach of JAEM — the one who designs the system, sets the learning philosophy, and makes sure every learner actually improves. If you’ve ever wondered why JAEM classes feel so organized and effective… it’s probably because of him.

Suzan:
Suzan majored in Korean Language Education for international learners and taught at a university language institute for four years — plus two more years as an instructor at the King Sejong Institute. She’s the kind of teacher who explains complicated grammar so clearly that students say, “Oh! 이제 알겠어요!” Warm, sharp, and incredibly experienced — she’s one of the reasons learners love staying in the program.
How the Challenge Works
Step 1. Consultation and Teacher Matching
Before the challenge starts, you share your Korean level, goals, and study needs.
Then we help place you in the right class and assign your teacher.
Step 2. Monthly Learning Flow
Each month, the challenge runs for 3 active study weeks.
- Week 1: Learn grammar patterns, dialogue, writing tasks, and useful expressions
- Week 2: Continue with grammar, dialogue, writing, and practical expressions
- Week 3: Read ads and news, watch a drama clip, and join discussion-based practice
This monthly structure helps learners study Korean through both guided input and active use.
Step 3. Two-Month Ticket Structure
One 1-ticket program runs for 2 months.
During those 2 months, learners follow two monthly topics and complete the challenge cycle with missions, class, and speaking practice.
Step 4. Weekly Study Routine
Each week, learners follow a clear study flow:
- Receive the weekly PDF
- Complete the missions
- Receive feedback
- Join the group class
- Practice speaking in the 1:1 class
This structure helps learners keep studying step by step without getting lost.
What Is Included in the Challenge?

Weekly PDF and Missions
Each week, you receive a PDF with the main expressions, grammar, dialogue, writing tasks, and practice activities. You follow the mission flow step by step and use the materials as your study guide.

Mission Feedback
You do not just complete the missions alone. You also receive feedback to help you understand mistakes, improve your answers, and keep moving forward.

Personal Coach Support
Your personal coach helps you stay on track during the challenge. This support gives you more accountability, clearer direction, and a better study routine.

Group Class
In the group class, you review the weekly content, practice key expressions, and interact with other learners. This helps you use Korean more actively and build confidence.

1:1 Speaking Practice
In the 1:1 session, you practice speaking more directly with your teacher. This is where you turn the weekly topic into real speaking practice and work on your own weak points.
