빛 vs 빚
빛: “light” – natural or artificial illumination.
Example 1: “이 방은 빛이 많이 들어와.” (This room gets a lot of light.)
Example 2: “태양의 빛이 아침을 밝혔다.” (The light of the sun brightened the morning.)
빚: “debt” – when someone owes something, usually money.
Example 1: “나는 아직 빚을 갚고 있어.” (I am still paying off a debt.)
Example 2: “그는 오랜 기간 동안 빚을 갚느라 고생했다.” (He struggled for a long time to pay off his debt.)
빛이 나다 vs 빛이 바래다
빛이 나다: “to shine” or “to be bright.” – describing something glowing.
Example 1: “그녀의 미소는 정말 빛이 났어.” (Her smile really shone.)
Example 2: “보석은 빛이 나며 그 가치를 드러냈다.” (The jewel shone, revealing its value.)
빛이 바래다: “to fade” or “to become dull.” – when brightness or color diminishes.
Example 1: “이 옷은 세탁하니까 빛이 바랬어.” (The color of this cloth faded after washing.)
Example 2: “시간이 지나면서 그림의 빛이 바래었다.” (Over time, the brightness of the painting faded.)
계정 vs 계좌
계정: “account” – specifically digital or online user accounts.
Example 1: “내 계정 비밀번호를 잊어버렸어.” (I forgot my account password.)
Example 2: “이메일 계정을 새로 만들었다.” (I created a new email account.)
계좌: “bank account” – used in banking and financial contexts.
Example 1: “은행 계좌에 돈을 입금해야 해.” (I need to deposit money into my bank account.)
Example 2: “그는 여러 은행에 여러 계좌를 가지고 있다.” (He has multiple accounts in various banks.)
